Yes, but we don't need a law to tell us that murder is wrong, mankind already knows this, so the law is in place to punish those who commit murder.

No.
Some and not a few would feel less inhibitions to (let´s say) punch some other.
Even if that one deserves it would be problematic.......sometimes.
But of course there are a lot of nonsense / arcaic inhibitions that need an something from an update to dropping them ASAP.
What we pehaps need is fewer and only some wiser "inhibitions".
Just IMO.

@popmol Sorry; I'm just a wordy sort of person and a lot my humor is around words and their use. It's not for everybody though. I can be slow to realize when I'm 'talking' with someone not so much into that kind of joking.

No.
At least social animals HAVE inhibitions.
Violence within groups and herds have limmits and is less frequent than mutual care / help.
Just to mention one aspect......
