Is it time to ban church in the US?

In the last 3 weeks alone, 30 religious figures, mostly youth pastors, have been arrested for sex crimes involving children.
Since there is such a huge discourse around banning or restricting things to help protect children, (except guns of course) we should just ban church services outright, right? It is clear that the people who attend and lead them are the biggest threat to children in America (except guns of course).
You’d assume that republicans would be in favor of this ban, but they are more interested in projecting their own tendencies onto drag queens and lgbt people.

@Imsleepy Here’s a list of the Right-Wing Sexual Predators, Abusers, and Enablers. Thought this may interest you and some others here.

Copy and paste the link to view it. It’s a long list.
@iamonfire696 And those are just the ones we know about.

@LeopoldBloom exactly, scary isn’t it!
@iamonfire696 Around 6,000 Catholic priests have been credibly accused of sexual abuse in the U.S., and that's just one religion in one country.

While it's not a religious organization, sex abuse in the Boy Scouts was rampant, with records kept on abusers who were still allowed to interact with children.
@LeopoldBloom It makes me very sad and all should be held to account to the fullest extent of the law. I say this as a Catholic. There should be no hiding from child abuse. Period.

@LeopoldBloom & @DarkHeaven I totally agree with you.

It’s just crazy to me that people are more worried about drag queens being in a dress than actually keeping their kids from real child sex offenders.
@iamonfire696 it’s just a convenient excuse for bigotry, all the whole the real predators are already among them.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@DarkHeaven you’re correct about that. It’s just so sad to see.
@iamonfire696 And I’m all about holding child predators accountable. There’s a certain percentage of any group under the sun that ends up does these bad things and let’s hold people accountable.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@DarkHeaven yes of course and it doesn’t matter who it is, they need to be held accountable for their actions.
@iamonfire696 @DarkHeaven Trans people are a convenient group to attack.

They're easily recognized by their distinctive dress and appearance.
There aren't many of them, so they're easy to gang up on.
People may be afraid to defend them, for fear of being attacked themselves.
They are accused of "corrupting society" just by existing.

Sound familiar? It's the same playbook the Nazis used against Jews in the 1930s.

@LeopoldBloom You’re exactly right and I don’t want to live through that. History should not repeat itself.
@LeopoldBloom Take a misunderstood and already marginalized group, give them some kind of false epic powers (supposedly the media and judges forcing us to accept some Trans agenda that nobody can quite explain,) and then purport your group as the only ones to save us from this threat. It’s exactly like what happened to the Jews in Germany. Bigoted people tend to be bigoted to many groups, so the very marginalized trans community is the canary in the coal mine. It’s like I’ve said many times to my good trans friend. So go Trans rights, so go all minorities rights. Not that it’s right to persecute any group but anyone that thinks they will stop with Trans rights is very, very shortsighted.
