Is it time to ban church in the US?

In the last 3 weeks alone, 30 religious figures, mostly youth pastors, have been arrested for sex crimes involving children.
Since there is such a huge discourse around banning or restricting things to help protect children, (except guns of course) we should just ban church services outright, right? It is clear that the people who attend and lead them are the biggest threat to children in America (except guns of course).
You’d assume that republicans would be in favor of this ban, but they are more interested in projecting their own tendencies onto drag queens and lgbt people.

It’s ironic that people are fine with labelling the LGBTQIA+ group as being a risk to children when there is plenty of evidence that there is so many sex crimes against children involving the church.

Why aren’t people actually interested in protecting kids? Why are you so worried about trans people?

@Torsten no underage child is having transition surgery. If those teens are getting meds there is a doctor involved. Are you okay with teen getting hormone therapy if they medically need hormones? Do they need your permission for that too?

This discussion isn’t about that. It’s the point that people are pushing the narrative that trans people are sex offenders.

Clearly there is much more evidence showing members of the clergy are sex offenders and people like you are fine with pushing that narrative since it fuels your hate filled agenda.

Puberty blockers should not be given to healthy children. I dont care your stance on it. That is child abuse straight up in my book.

How bout all the trans men who are rapists that are allowed in womens prisons? that goes against your trans people are not sex offender narrative.

@Torsten this discussion is about child sex offenders. I know what puberty blockers are. It’s not my decision to make. Just as it’s not my decision to make for a woman to have an abortion. You won’t be happy until the government is telling you what you can and can’t do with every detail of your life.

Can you keep up? We are talking about trans people being accused of being groomers while it’s actively hidden in churches.

yeah child abuse and sexual assault happens in churches and I condemn that also.
I dont make excuses for it or try shifting the subject away from that and towards other child sexual abuse situations.
