Let's say you are a broke college student. You are looking for a place to stay but can't find anything under 1K. Finally, a landlord suggests that you rent this room. There's a 300 dollar down payment and it's 800 dollars a month to rent. - would you do it?
This is illegal to rent just on mold problems alone. No telling what the structural damage is.

Nope
$200 max and that’s after shaping it up

Pretty sure there's mold.

Not me but in NYC someone will grab that up and clean & fix it up to live in. Rents are crazy there.

Nothing a broom and pan, some plaster and paint can't fix. Does it have a bathroom?

{@woofwoof15 ] with the outlay to make it habitable on top you must be joking

He should be paying you to live in that filth and mold 😖

$800??? That's about £695. You could rent a nice 2-bed flat ("apartment") for that here.

Been looking for a new place since the last one got raided.

Tbh that's a palace compared to the average SW member's basement

@SW-User in America 3K a month for a one bedroom apartment
Woofwoof15 · 26-30, F
@SW-User 3K for a small studio. It's impossible to live completely alone here

Where is it?
It needs paint.

@Stereoguy You would have to pay more than that per month to park it in NYC within walking distance of a college. 😂
