Elliot is 22 years old and in college. His parents are wealthy and regularly pay for his classes. Elliot never studies and always shows up late to class. Despite this, Elliot has straight A's. Blaze is 21 years old. He's homeless but extremely intelligent. He studies hard and makes a B average.

One day Elliot finds out he actually has a C's and D-'s in every class. His wealthy father pays the school to lie about his grades. The truth is, Blaze is the one with the highest grade in the class.

Elliot, having believed himself naturally gifted is going to develop such a nasty complex out of this. Hope wealthy daddy is willing to pay for therapy too.

I do not think Blaze is too heavily impacted and it sounds like he is making the best of taking his studies seriously.
