I on the other hand have never blocked anyone on this site in my life. I have been told once that African Americans are the dumbest most violent race on earth and still I did not block that person.

I am here to discuss. I can always stop conversing if I disagree or don't want to enagage. Thats my philosophy because I have had horrible chats with people that I highly dispise ( in the moment) and then a few months later I learn something amazing from them or find out that they were having a bad day or have a blind spot on some issue due to their own experience.

I also find the practice of sending a lengthy comment and then blocking extremely childish. It is to have the last word. Either you want to block me or you want to msg me which is it?
Blocking someone that you have friended for a long time to block over one discussion is a bit crazy to me.

I am proud of how I choose to handle disagreements. I can handle any religious or political belief and still try to find the humanity in that person. I like to base my discussions on logic and not feelings. I don't mind talking with people whose belief's offend me. Thats how we learn and come together and how I grow.
I will block for harassment but I haven't experienced that yet.
Oh well time for lunch!

I am here for discussions, not for arguments, but very few people are really willing to listen and think logically, which may sometimes change their current thinking.

@ABCDEF7 I do agree that very few people are willing to be logical and really listen. I think thats why I don't block also. What if I am wrong? I want to have a bit to see things another way or just to learn from an opposition view

@REMsleep I have zero persons blocked, at most I mute them to save my time. A healthy discussion and logical thinking is needed to come to any conclusion. But many people are just looking for people to support their view, without a bit of intention to know what is the truth. To be there you have to first understand, whatever you know and understand may not be the complete truth, and whatever the way I am thinking may not be the right approach.

But most of the persons are believers, instead of being seekers.

@ABCDEF7 Wow I could not agree more so when I understand that someone is a believer then no matter what I need to stop trying. It won't be productive.

@REMsleep That depends on what stage they have reached. In earlier stages it's easier, after that it becomes difficult, and finally it's next to impossible. Moreover it depends how much they are willing to listen and think honestly(with themselves).
