Why do some men want women that look like barbie dolls but they look like mythological creatures?

I am an attractive woman many would consider Barbie-ish. I fell in love with someone who wasn’t very attractive. He was everything I never wanted. Skinny, red hair, pasty skin with freckles, a skin deformity right on his face. He liked the Barbie type and at the time I considered myself out of his league only to find out the opposite. He was too good for me, a much greater person than I can ever be. I never noticed his face or his features before long - I didn’t have to bc his real beauty was so magnificent it didn’t matter. He was the best partner I ever had. We broke up 10 years ago, and I still wish it weren’t so. He was a unicorn. Sometimes those ogres are actually unicorns…..

I've noticed the uglier the guy the more shallow..

Cause they are annoying and we don’t want them. Lol

It's for the same reason where women want men to be rich and successful when they aren't .
