@NativePortlander1970 We had a large Ashley wood heater on the farm with a blower fan on it and it heated all of that farmhouse…it probably wasn’t well-insulated like modern houses are now. And Ray has a wood-burning stove at the car lot (they call them fireplaces) that someone gave him, really heavy with a glass window, and it has a blower on it. Customers and even delivery people come to the shop area and they are drawn to that stove standing there warming themselves in the winter time. Ray puts a tea pot on top to heat water and makes hot tea for them sometimes.

@NativePortlander1970 Yeah makes me want to have one in a house if I had a good set-up for one. Wouldn’t worry about power outages that way. You can cook on top of it too. He will set nuts in the shells on top of it and roast them and have them for snacks too.
