Passionate Posting.
Hey there! Happy Friday all. I’m a bit hesitant to post this at all due to not wanting to sound like I’m E-Begging or desperate. Despite that; I’ll give it a go.
I finally decided to step out of my comfort zone after gaining confidence about posting on YouTube. I have had a speech impediment my entire life and have learned to regulate, maintain, control, and learn new skills to manage it. I am perfectly capable of thinking before I speak, I know exactly what to say, and articulate it just fine by writing things out first. It’s a matter of words getting stuck as I’m saying them. I’m 26 now and can speak a lot better than I did when I was younger. I even gave a speech at my high school graduation confidently and was able to control the two times I stuttered. No one who mattered noticed.
There’s no permanent “cure” or “fix” for a speech impediment. However, it can absolutely improve and die down through years of specific speech therapy. The goal is never to never stutter ever again in your life and speak every single word perfectly. It’s to earn, grow, and maintain a sense of mindful control while easing anxiety about stuttering through various types of speech therapy and consistently working on them outside of the office. If someone feels insecure like I used to about their speech and wants to have a career in public speaking or they just feel that they need more improvement; that’s perfectly normal and valid. I personally feel confident.
I’m extremely passionate about Paleontology and am an active student earning my Associates Of Science degree to become a serious paleontologist. However, I can also be ease-going about the topic of dinosaurs specifically. So, I’m gonna take a chance and share this passion publicly and started a proper channel.
