Why is it that multi-billion companies seem to be unable to implement the most basic features much smaller companies implement flawlessly?

I regularly find videos on my YouTube homepage that I didn't get a notification about despite explicitly subscribing to all notifications from the channel that published them.

And when I go to the feedback form to ask about that, I get a message like "Failed to send your feedback. Please retry." And no matter how often I click the retry link, the same message appears.

In what world is all notifications ambiguous? 🙄 And how hard is it to make a feedback form actually deliver feedback? If you don't care, I understand not offering a form, or pretending the feedback was sent successfully and never reading it. But offering a form that gives an error when filled out is just weird.

I found another form that only allowed for a 120 character question before and did get an answer. So I was able to point this out eventually. But it wasn't fixed, so clearly it's by design that the easily accessible feedback form doesn't work.

"Too many cooks in the kitchen". I hope that's an accurate analogy. I'd think that things are more complicated with probably hundreds or thousands of employees

or various departments to manage
