Yes Streaming wars!

And certain series also. A few on Amazon and Netflix where they only had 1 or 2 seasons and I found later seasons on Youtube or even Roku....

I've not noticed more - I've always found plenty there, particularly old TV series too. I have an Amazon Firestick so I can watch YT on my TV

I have trouble watching films on YouTube. It doesn't feel like I'm watching a film. It feels like I'm watching a long YouTube video lol.

Is it a plan to kill Netflix?

The short answer is "Yes."

YT is doubling down on free ad-supported tv (fast) to increase their ad revenue, and they hope you'll watch these shows on your smart tv instead of Netflix (and on your phone instead of TikTok.)
fun4us2b · M
@tenente And Alphabet has Waymo and Gemini - they are on a roll.
tenente · 36-40, M
@fun4us2b They're a fantastic business, a literal cash machine, but it won't grow forever. Most their projects are total nonsense, it's core business pays for the circus. It's a monopoly that regulators won’t fix so we lose in ways we don’t understand...
