What are your thoughts?

I have been scrolling on youtube lately and I'm coming across some vieos talking about making changes on the SNAP and EBT program. It appears soda, candy and a couple items are now no longer eligible for purchase. Personally, I applaud the idea, because some of these items are already labeled "junk". Also, I feel like the government should offer resources as to how people on food stamps can start making more nutrious meals now that this new plan is taking effect

I have seen some of the same types of videos. One was of a lady that purchased something like $200 worth of soda with EBT, emptied the soda cans in a storm drain in the store parking lot and took the cans in for a 10 cent deposit and got cash. Someone turned her in and she was losing a few thousand dollars a month in EBT. I think the programs need to be policed for fraud and abuse.

Education is important to change people’s poor food habits . The thing is : would people still make piss poor health decisions even if they were educated ? Lots of educated people smoke cigs

100% agree. But Trump won't spend any $$ teaching the poor anything.
