are they remixing old songs and removing the original versions on youtube

many old songs i listened to recently from the 60s 70s & 80s sounded like remixes and not he original when i watched them on youtube...and i thought are they removing the original versions and putting up the remixed versions? or is it all in my imagination?

I've still been able to find a few untouched but yes.
Some sound like brand new songs.
