Is something wrong with YouTube?

I use Firefox as my main web browser. I have an add-on I use that can be used with Firefox called Speed Dial. So basically when I open Firefox, I see 4 boxes, (I set this up to be this way) Yahoo, Google, YouTube and Similar Worlds. If I click on a box, it takes me to that website.

Normally, when I click on the YouTube box to go to YouTube, it shows shadow boxes where all the videos would be, then everything loads in. Yesterday, it only showed the shadow boxes. So today I tried just typing in the address, youtube.com. It did the same thing Speed Dial does. BUT... if I click the 3 lines, and click on Home, then everything loads normally. I've cleared cache and that did nothing, the problem is still there.

I do have Google Chrome installed, so if I go into that and just type in the address for youtube.com, it takes me there and everything loads perfectly fine.

Anyone else having a similar problem, or any ideas to fix this?

I thougjt I saw something about YouTube thwarting ad-blockers and stuff recently with a new tool. Maybe this is related to your issue

@TrashCat yeah that's crappy. Reason I watch YouTube with an ad blocker is because I don't want their junk ads.

And I sure as hell ain't paying for premium.

I'm sure an add on will come out that defeats their block to the current ad block.
