The far left dictator that your people chose was already in prison before, and will have no problem catering to the masses of the weak willed by honoring their whines and demands for more banning and censorship and cancel culture, to keep them quiet and supposedly happy, and redirect their eyes away from the bribes and thievery and money laundering that are going on.

The far right dictator that you had before wanted to promote a facist society full of racism, governing by "religious beliefs", and absolute people domination from the top via military rule. You would have eventually become Burma / Myanmar, with people getting publicly executed in the streets by the military, and your "dear leader" going "my country, I have the control, I'll do whatever I want, stfu rest of the world".
