Any alternative to WhatsApp widget?

I use a WhatsApp widget to read the messages, but after updating WhatsApp, the widget randomly stopped working and instead shows only the number of unread messages.
I tried clearing the cache, re-added the widget, and restarted my phone twice, yet the widget is not working.
Do you know of any alternative to WhatsApp widget? Any reliable app?
