I am thinking of removing WhatsApp altogether from my phone! Do you still have it?

This is the last connection i have to my family. I feel that app does not bring me any good and beside my sister who only messages me to send bad news or ask for something, only three people still message me there.

I also have work people there whom I am not interested to chat with in the first place, work group where no one posts and when they post I don’t participate and other WhatsApp groups which I have been thinking to delete because meh these people are no longer part of this phase of my life..

This whole what’sapp makes me depressed .. when i hear the notification sound, makes me anxious!

I don't use whatsapp at all but I think in your circumstances I'd have a second phone just for that, I'd keep it in a drawer and only look at it very occasionally when I was in a mood to do so.

@AntisocialTroll nah I don’t want to keep holding onto this one way or another. Enough, I just want to move on. Keeping another phone is like keeping a cause for anxiety to keep wondering with myself if i should look and what could possibly be waiting for me there

I have it. It sounds like you should delete it, though. If an app you don’t need is making you anxious, I don’t think it’s worth having.
Also, the messages will still get delivered to your WhatsApp account even if you don’t have the app installed, so if you want to redownload it every few months to check, the messages will be there waiting for you.

@itsok Thanks for the tip! I didn’t know that. This makes things easier.

It's never easy to make a decision like that but you must do what's right for you.

I use it to talk to my girls and other family members who live far away

You can silence the notifications. That’s what I do.

Depends on whether you want to be part of their lives or not. If not, then you should definitely delete it, it will give you more peace 😁

@kimmy159 I don’t think i can be part of their life at this point. This relationship cannot be repaired

@BittersweetPotato I’m sorry you’re going through that ~ in that case, I would definitely recommend to do what is best for you. If the tables are turned, they would do the same I imagine.

It's the messaging app here so I'm practically forced to keep it 😮‍💨
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@Elessar It used to be the same for me but i feel people are moving away from it or at least maybe only here in NA? People don’t use it much I feel. They use messages or Instagram. Other from work people (who of course don’t have on insta) no one messages me there!

@BittersweetPotato Damn, I'm glad it's WA and not Insta here 😬
Put yourself first and do whatever you feel you need to do.

@BittersweetPotato You can. It`s called a block button, idjit. 🙄

@Degbeme As potato butler, can you go into my profile and block you? 🥔😚 I am a busy potato and don’t have time to waste on this!
