Today's Video Call with a SW Friend
I have been chatting with this SW friend for the last couple of months and the conversations have always been so light and fun. We had done a WhatsApp video call earlier but today was different.
My American friend makes sure he messages me on WhatsApp everyday considering I am very bad in keeping touch. I was always surprised as to how good he is in keeping contact. For more than 2 hours last night we were discussing about the "must watch movies on Netflix and surprisingly, we have the same choice in movies and web series.
Today, we did VC and I will be forever grateful for that decision.
He has this amazing sense of humour and while he is almost 10 years younger to me, he has this vast understanding of the world overall. Thankfully, we both mutually balance between joking and seriously sharing our thoughts.
Today I told him about my portfolio website - the one I am designing and for which I have drafted content. Very casually I asked him if he can give me constructive feedback on it and since we both are Leos, I didn't have to take an effort to tell him that Leos don't take blunt feedback too well. 😜
He was so patient and truly involved in going through my website and boy! he did bring me to a point where I asked if he will ever be interested to work with me in future as a freelance consultant because of his value addition.
You know what's awesome? That I agreed on every bit of detail he asked me to change. It was like we instantly understood the reason behind the changes and both didn't felt the need to explain too much. We were so naturally on the same page.
We were on video call for 4 hours (no, it wasn't only about the website discussion lol) and both of us didn't realise how time went by. We manage our time difference very well.
While SW isn't always fun, but I am truly grateful for that message I got from him here the first time months ago and I am so glad that I responded to him.
Nothing better than a good friendship where you don't have to think 100 times before saying anything.
