Twitter should not be privately owned -. But what can you do if Congress ignores the law?

Corporate rule stinks.
What can we do?

Why shouldn't it?
@Whodunnit in the past we decided that public utilities should not be private property -. Why? The Ma Bell, ATandT story is factual history. Why would we still have laws requiring that google, Facebook and Twitter be basically nationalized, but forget why? I'm going to say because not knowing is fine for conservatives.

@Roundandroundwego Sorry, I don't think I'm politically savvy enough to understand what you're getting at.

I can wrap my head around the concept of a service being nationalized if it serves only the country within which it services, but Google, Facebook, and Twitter provide services internationally.

Which country gets to decide who nationalises them, and what stops that company from simply upping sticks and moving to a country that won't force them to become nationalised? The people in the original country would still be able to access the service they provide.
@Whodunnit the country already has laws requiring Congress to regulate the web and the tech giants. Not knowing is obviously an advanced art for you.

@Roundandroundwego This may come as a shock to you, but... I'm not American. There's no reason why I should know what Congress (whatever that is) regulates and what it doesn't.

That's why I was asking.
@Whodunnit one hundred percent of everyone is not aware and nobody ever, ever can be.
