The Reason Why I Deleted My Tiktok (An Experience)

Emotional attachment with social media is surreal, but it happens.

2 weeks ago I started watching tiktok lives about Crystals and Pearls. I was never an active user of the application until I discovered the "live selling". I am really having a good time watching sellers scooping their products and sell it.

In my 2-week stay, I was also exposed to different videos that is new to me. People recording themselves while crying, narrating how their partner cheated, giving you hints and signs of misfortunes, comfortably stating how they were taken advantage, and so many depressing stories. Some contents even tell you how you should live or what decision you should make. I validate all the emotions, whether these contents are factual or not, but, those aren't for me.

Day by day, the contents affected me, it made me pessimistic. Until the time came that I doubted to my family and partner.

So, I deleted it.

I feel sorry for the children that're imprisoned in that kind of distorted reality, unable to get out, unaware of the situation.
