It would scared the shit out of me. I can't stand being rejected. It would be a kind of shock therapy.
What did Roman emperor in the circus? Slide his thumb along his neck and dead man.

That would just cause problems I see no good coming out of it. When someone post how they feel about whatever it shouldn't be bashed. It will make people reluctant to share anything here
MisVirtuous · 46-50, F
All good points; I wouldn't want anyone to fear posting. I think this is coming from a desire to express light disagreement with some comments that I might think are wrong, rude, or inappropriate but don't rise to the level of being reported.
Sigh. I guess I'll just have to use words like a real adult. 😑

I don't think a dislike or an anti-heart button can be good thing here. We are all sharing our own experiences or maybe other's experiences. And giving them a dislike or anti-heart button would discourage any motivation to express themselves without given the chance to be known. Not to forget the dislike and anti-heart buttons can be can be randomly and abusively used. Not good in all aspect. We are free to ignore a post or better yet express our thoughts on what we think about a certain post. Besides we all know we can't please anybody.

Something like this for ChipmunkErnie's comment ?👎🏼. Hahahah
I have seen suggestions like yours at EP. I think most were against the idea though.

More alternatives for hearts are already planned and though the options aren't definitive yet, dislike will be considered. :)

LOL
I'll go for that.
How about an upside down "thumbs up".

Nah. If someone disagrees with a post/comment, they can discuss it up front. I feel that a dislike button could lead to just taking sides and another way for trolls to bull and like Soul asylum said, make people more hesitant to share.
NeonCandy · 26-30, F
I don't think that's a good idea. Even if there are trolls here, disliking someone's experience might make them feel bad about themselves.

@Gentle153 - Thank you for the reply! More alternatives would be even better. Looking forward to it!

Not to offend the faint of heart, but --- an anus? That would say it all so VERY often. ;)

The opposite of hearting something should be a flame
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@Twistermind -- you can "flag" here already
twistermind · 51-55, F
Totally agree with you. For example, me.
twistermind · 51-55, F
I caught you now. It's not a bad idea but you know...some people can thumb you down as others heart you without even reading your post. Just for the sake of it.
Anyway, I would find very hard to thumb someone down but it's a matter of my own weakness.
If there is a referendum, I will vote thumb down.

The thumbs down works fine for me. ;)

great idea
twistermind · 51-55, F
I don't remember the site but there was a posibility to flag someone and this had consequences about people having warning and all.
twistermind · 51-55, F
@ Ernie: by reporting? Yes, I know it.
twistermind · 51-55, F
I'm missing a poll here now.
