I think you should make the " see stories from friends and groups" only show the stories from friends and groups

This should already be the case. Do you have any examples of stories/questions that show up within that filter while the author is not in your circle and you have not joined the group or community it is posted in?

@AllissaS: When you visit this category, do you see a green check mark or a Subscribe button in the top right? If you see a green check mark, you joined this category and thus the questions in there should show up in your Friends & Groups overview. If you no longer want to see posts in that category, you can leave it by clicking the green check mark.

So I did that, but it says that I need to be part of at least 5 communities. Do you think it would be a good idea to make an option where I can filter out these communities?

@AllissaS: In that case you should join another community and then you leave the Embarassing & Funny community. This site is about connecting with others over similar interests, so that minimum is unlikely to be removed.
