Strangely, I rarely had to reach out far. One short comment or question, and the kid would send me a private message asking to talk.
Occasionally I received private message from a kid who had read one of my comments on someone else's story or question and decided that I might be the one to turn to.
No idea why! But if they seemed sincere, I did what I could. There were quite a few who simply didnt believe i am an old woman so would write to ask how old i really am. And ask for a photo. I invariably sent them a picture of a fat orangutan. LOL. I can usually discourage anyone asking for pictures.
