@PhoenixPhail it's a public responsibility to maintain a public square, and public Internet platforms are public utilities that the government should be funding and providing. Politics is only useful for leftists, the hated excluded sections of society. The mainstream would hate openness. They'd be challenged and they'd lose arguments. That's never going to happen, here!
