Do you agree with these?

I'd like to suggest the same core set of tools for ALL lists of people.

1) Which lists?
Currently, only "negative" lists (lists of "those against whom actions have been taken")--Blocked / Muted / Blocked Followers--have sorting.

I propose ADDING these lists:

those whom we are Following,
those who are our Followers,
those to who we have sent DMs, and
Forum Members

to the others, as part of the lists which should have the SAME "core set" of actions available.

2) Which "core" actions?
I find these CURRENT core actions useful

A) Sorting
i) alphabetically
ii) by date (added to a list)

B) Identifying users with certain attributes
i) Show "Canceled" users (users with the "NO"/"NEGATION" symbol, 🚫)...when it works

I propose ADDING these actions as an additional item under A:
iii) by date LAST HERE

and as additional items under B:
ii) Show users who are "Taking a Break" (the X)
iii) Show users who no longer have a clickable name (mostly "SW-User")

My god, you're seeking consistency in the UI throughout the site? That's just crazy talk!

Just kidding. I have felt the same way for a long time, with list UI's, pagination UI's, etc.

There seems to be a thousand little rough edges like this to this site's UI and its actual policies* too, and more often than not, fixing these things is not a priority, unless a popular F user makes a request for a small UI change, then the change can me be made within an hour of the request LOL (is the admin sweet on that user? 🤔).

Instead fixing existing rough edges, priority is instead placed on Games, AI users, or just not doing any changes at all.

Then you go to places like the custom group management UI, and see the list of upcoming features for group management which has been listed there forever, but remained unimplemented. AI users have been implemented since the upgrades to custom group management were promised but never implemented.

If I had the wherewithal I'd start an EP clone just for the sake of doing it better. That alone is a reason to do it. But this is such a niche social site, in a niche littered with the corpses of other clones, and the social media landscape seems to be in flux right now, so one has to wonder if the EP-style site is a dying niche.

* On the policy front, go delete your Gmail account, and then see if you can re-register that same username. Of course you cannot. as that would be insane, and obviously facilitate impersonation. But you can re-register a cancelled SW username, and the requirements for doing so, like a waiting period, are not consistently enforced, you can even request exceptions to things like the waiting period (why would you do that, unless you're the person who just cancelled the username recently, even though you deny you are, and the exception was granted because of your "good reputation" ... how would you have a reputation if you are a truly new user who only just started posting after granted the reuse of the old username🤔?). After I was told by an admin that this was rare, to make exceptions, a week later I watched another user cancel their account, and then return within a week, with a new internal identifier (so if you had them blocked before, they were no longer blocked in their new incarnation with the same reused username — and in this case, not trying to hide the fact that it was still the same person who controlled the username a week prior). So what is theoretically a rarely granted exception seems to happen more often and inconsistently than is stated.

Good ideas, my fellow Michigander. Some other forums have similar ways to clarify just what the heck is going on with others. Why shouldn't we?
@Trav2024 Thank you, sir!

I appreciate your vote of confidence. 😊
