This is the most common way that I see blockquotes styled on most sites in general as well, with really just a thick left border and indentation to set of the quoted elements and nothing more, it's clean

There is a website theme called Congo that I like which also italicizes the blockquote, and encloses it within US-style quotation marks (in addition to the left border and indenting), and it looks very nice
