Can we have a temporary report category for people spreading false information about Covid-19?

There's currently a woman saying she's an essential worker and stating that this is all a big conspiracy.

There's no way to report that incredibly dangerous statement.

While I totally agree that misinformation of all kinds is dangerous. I don't believe it's a sites responsibility to fact check.

That would get into the quasi area where opinions can be censored.

Better is to point out the areas where they are wrong. Back it up with your own links would also be prudent.

@DeWayfarer it's absolutely the sites responsibility. Twitter, Facebook, others already have this capacity and will remove accounts for posting false Covid information. It's equivalent to yelling fire in a crowded theatre.

@CheshireCatalyst and they have been rightfully accused of taking sides on all kinds of topics.

@DeWayfarer on one side is the truth, on the other side is propaganda and outright lies. They are finally taking sides after years of hesitance.

@CheshireCatalyst websites should not take sides.

@CheshireCatalyst because you drag them into a Quagmire that they can not get out of.

@DeWayfarer they're making a lot of money from us. I encourage them to work harder for that.

@CheshireCatalyst no sites like this are barely making it at all. In fact doing what you are asking will put them out of business totally. And you won't have a site to complain about! This particular site has only two admin and two moderators. They can't afford anything else!
