It is very irritating! I get thirty notifications and not only do they have nothing to do with me, I can't tell who they are for!

The problem is that you can't reply to a specific person yet. Until that happens, you will keep getting notification for every recent reply.

Ok, so it's Not that I can't find it, they just Haven't gotten to that yet, was just curious, sorry, my bad, guess it's gonna take a Bit more patience on my part

You can click stop receiving notifications under the group the question.

In the future notifications will be grouped to reduce the number you receive. It will also be possible to reply directly to a specific reply on stories (nested replies), possibly with options to only receive notifications for direct replies. (Although that last part has not been confirmed yet.)

It bugs me too. I have started clicking on the stop receiving notifications at the top of the page whenever I commenting on someone else's story.
