I Have a Suggestion for Similar Worlds

Is there a particular reason that SW decided to use a PM chat style that is so "outdated" unlike the chat messengers that you see in gmail or yahoo or any other place that has a "chat"

well perhaps because it's a stories site rather than a messenger service? You still have those messenger services so...... and if someone likes you you can always agree to transfer to something a little more interactive...
