I Have a Suggestion for Similar Worlds

Not sure if this has been suggested, but can you make it so you know if someone has read a message you've sent them?

I actually would not like that. For some reason I get message from people wanting to talk about politics. Usually abortion. And they always want to discuss the minutia of it. Every conceivable situation. After a while I only open their messages so that the notification disappears and I would rather they be left wondering.
