I Have a Suggestion for Similar Worlds
I have 4,251 SW coins.
I joined Similar Worlds so as to facilitate free and open discussions on many topics - some personal and some societally unacceptable. These discussions are very valuable to me and other site members.
I did not join this site so that I might give someone some worthless trinket purchased with SW coins.
If someone is hungry, one can either give them the money for a meal or the money itself so they can purchase the food they enjoy. And, purchasing the food themselves gives the recipient greater agency and self-determination.
I think it would be great, if instead of purchasing something with my SW coins and giving it to someone hoping they will like it, I could give them the coins so they can purchase what they desire.
The only way I would know what someone wanted is if they proactively send me a note saying "Please but me a red purse" or whatever.
Rather than rewarding the begger, I would rather reward someone for insightful commentary or positive, helpful, constructive comments. But, only with the begger would I know what they would like or need.
Please help out here, and set up a mechanism so that coins - as well as gifts - can be distributed among SW members.
