We need New Users! => New Users are all Fake!

SW users: We need more New users here!

• New, unique, real individuals, routinely join SimilarWorlds each day.

• New Users become more apparent with the addition of the "NEW" tag.

...
SW users: No way these are really New Users!
They must all be Alt Accounts and Catfish!

[sep]

Is there any surprise at why most new users don't stick around?
when they are frequently Judged, Bullied, and told they are all "Fake"?

As SW Admins, we can see and confirm that the vast Majority of these "New Users" are indeed real, unique individuals.
(We can tell by the referring sources they come from, their IP/Device info, etc...)

[sep]

Additional Note:

Please refrain from making chastising comments on user's posts, about their interests/preferences.

We have observed many new users join here, post about something they are interested in or seeking,
then immediately made to feel unwelcome about sharing their personal interests, by other established users of this site.

(This naturally, quickly pushes many new users away from returning to SW.)

As long as their interests are Not Illegal, and Not against the SW TOS to share/talk about, other users have no businesses in bullying them about what they share.

If the post indeed is against SW's TOS or not legal, then kindly Report the incident.

We've even sadly seen some users ask for Advice about difficult situations, then be shunned or dismissed as being Fake or Lying.

(There are still thankfully, numerous users who do behave in a kind and appropriate manner, and do respond with sincere and helpful comments.)

Why even mention the TOS when you rarely enforce it?

@Imsleepy You don't get to report people to the admins as harassing when you yourself engage in harassment.

You are big on picking fights with others then acting astonished when people don't respond favorably.
Imsleepy · 31-35
Standing up to homophobes and transphobes isn’t me harassing people. It is a shame you can’t realize the difference. @SumKindaMunster

@Imsleepy There's a difference between standing up for oneself and wading into conversations and insulting others because you don't agree.

Perhaps if you actually behaved better and didn't instigate things on your own, the admins would be more receptive to your complaints.
Imsleepy · 31-35
I don’t instigate those conversations. I see people being bigots and I respond. I could be more respectful on those responses, sure, but why would I? Silently reporting does nothing. I had to make a post with photo evidence exposing someone advocating for shooting lgbt kids to get the post removed. They still let that person have an account on this site.@SumKindaMunster

@Imsleepy
I don’t instigate those conversations.
No, rather you rudely jump into other people's conversations and start hijacking them letting everyone know how offended you are.
I could be more respectful on those responses, sure, but why would I?
I dunno, perhaps to better get your point across? People tend to listen better when treated respectfully.

Unless of course your whole motivation is to just wade in there and put everyone down 😏, but then I would go back to my original response and say that is why the admins don't take your complaints seriously...you instigate these issues, why should they do anything about a stubborn brat who goes around calling people names?
Imsleepy · 31-35
Again, me responding to bigotry isn’t me hijacking or instigating anything.

My point? What do you suggest I say? “Could you please stop being a bigot?” Do you think that would work? I’m sorry that me calling people names hurts your feelings. Do the slurs directed at me also hurt your feelings or are you okay with those? @SumKindaMunster
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Imsleepy That's not what you are doing though.

You don't listen, and then just stubbornly keep doubling down.

You asked why nobody takes your complaints seriously and I told you.

If you choose not to listen so be it.

I'm happy to mock you again later for your poor behavior and ridiculous attitude.
Imsleepy · 31-35
No. You are the stubborn one. It is always running in circles talking to you. It is hilarious how you are literally doing what you accuse me of.

You say I instigate, I show that I don’t. You throw out the same accusation again. I refute it again. You ignore my question, as I knew you would and triple down on me being the one who starts arguments. It must get tiring acting like that. @SumKindaMunster
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Imsleepy I'm not tired at all, this is highly amusing to me actually.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree then.

You should strive for better rebuttals than "I know you are but what am I". 😂

@Imsleepy I look forward to repeating this conversation when I see you whining about being a victim while you attack others. 😆
