I Use Skype

Well I did but I am deleting my account. I no longer trust it. I logged out of the app on my phone and when I tried to log back in it was a nightmare! It didn't recognize my nickname or password, but I had been using it this whole time... finally allowed me to sign in with my phone number but all my contacts and settings were gone. Have spent several hours last night and today trying to resolve this, so my final solution is to just completely close the account which takes 60 days? Really? 60 days? This is so aggravating, I texted with friends on there daily. However, there is something not right and I feel more comfortable just deleting. Hopefully this resolves the problem but who knows? The user name and password that I have been using never existed, according to them, lol. Just frustrated. I really hate technology. Skype seems fine on my work phone but I'm definitely NOT logging out of that one now lol.

It still freaks me out when I can be shopping for something on one site, then adds for the same product pop up on another site. Big Brother is defintely watching.

I never liked it that it tried to merge voice and text together. It always seemed a very intrusive app.

I had the same problem after the latest updates on android. I wonder if Microsoft are trying to kill it off?

@SW-User I think they are. Their Enterprise offering was called "Skype for Business", and I just read that they are doing away with that shortly. They are migrating all their Lync and Skype offerings under their "Teams" banner.

@Tracos Yes exactly. I used to log in with my username and then it wouldn't let me use anything but my phone number.

Skype requires an upgrade which they rolled out early September. They are trying to make it more like a social networking thing probably to compete with Kik and snapchat.

@JarJarBoom The update had switched over fine. This seems to be some bizarre discrepancy with me using an account they claim never existed. Definitely one of the stranger glitches I've ever encountered. If I decide to use it again hopefully I can start fresh after the 60 day period. *fingers crossed*
