A private discussion can be just about anything – why not about pubic hair (or lack thereof)? If you feel you don't want to talk about it, just tell them.

@helenS Your answer assumes that I didn't. A private discussion has to have value for both. Telling the person the first time wasn't enough because he felt he was just being his curious self. That's a huge miss on detecting social cues.
