how can i stop a woman getting bored of me and losing interest

i have been messaging this woman in her 50s on facebook for a few years, just simple affectionate messages to one another...i want it to lead somewhere, possibly to a full relationship, but i don't have the self esteem or self confidence to step it up with her at this time and maybe offer her my phone number or ask her for hers..

i'm just comfortable sending nice messages to her for now...but i often run out of things to message...and my elderly mum has to help me compose messages to her....also my elderly friend in san diego on facebook, also helps me to compose messages to her....as i'm not very good at thinking of things to write..

so i'm worried about this woman i like losing interest in me or getting bored of me? i'm by no means an alpha male either.

has anyone got any advice on what i can do, so i don't lose the interest and 'affections' of this woman i'm fond of?

Im in a similar situation. Im 52 and talking to someone who is 10 years younger. I notice he sometimes having trouble with knowing what to say. So I try to ask questions to spear head the conversation. But we are still getting to know each other. Be honest with her and tell her you enjoy talking to her and ask her what she would like to talk about. If you have talked to her for that long she has stayed around for a reason. Bring up that you have been texting for sometime and ask her if she would like to talk on the phone. Maybe she's waiting to see how you feel.
