Why do some people take selfies where their phone is hiding their face?

Maybe not on here but on some social media.

But yeah what is even the point?

What, instead of trying to go through all the trouble of using all the filters on their phone, they just used the entire phone to hide their appearance?

I think they want not to be identified, but one time I did see a picture like that. It was a reflection in a full-length mirror, where she had concert ticket stubs and things that mentioned which school she attended and...I don't think she thought that through completely.

It is just wi3rd because some people obscure their entire face for a selfie, but on the other extreme, there are people who record themselves committing crimes then go upload it to social media.
