Oh I see many profiles are removing their profile pic

Many accounts here, seem to be removing profile pics to be replaced by the generic gray image. Is this the result of bad activity on behalf of some of the others here?

Pretty sure I know why one did a couple times. They wasn't getting the admiration from one she tries hard to get it from.
