Well, your first task would be to put up a more neutral picture of yourself because you are going to attract unwanted attention from those guy that are only here to try to send you some unwanted visuals and want some in return.
Be very careful whom you chat with and whom you let in as friends. Not everyone is who they pretend to be. You have a lot of men taking the female gender in hope to get into private messages.
Be cautious which pictures you publish here. The internet does not forget and those pictures of yourself may find themselves in places you did not want them to be.
Use your female intuition and refrain from being too open, at least until you start to know how this site works and that you are more confident with those chat partners.

@Michelle2be no problem and hope you can have many, but quality friends to chat with. Just go through the forums that you find interesting, look around and you don't need to answer any of the questions but simply check if what you see could trigger your interests.
If you find anyone interesting, you can always send them a DM and see where it goes from there. Hope you will enjoy this site. I am also relatively new and only joined in May of this year. It took me a while to get the hang of it.

@Michelle2be yes actually in a positive way. That is an interesting way to publish your picture without actually showing your real portrait.
Like your PP (profile picture) does it reflect your actual picture in a cartoon like drawing or have you used several pictures and merged them together? What about the background?
