PM chat option on SW?

Would you think that would be more convenient to have a smooth conversation with your friends on here? or would you prefer the way it is?

I don't like "chat rooms" where everyone chips in and there is no privacy, but I wish the PM option worked faster like Google chat or Messenger. I often wait for 5 minutes for a reply - assuming my correspondent is not talking to 3 others at the same time. 😔
