Sending a Photo of Myself to a Complete Stranger Online - Not Happening!

I just joined 'Similar Worlds' literally a few minutes ago, and I've already received a request from someone (I don't know the person, he's a complete stranger) for a photo. Er... excuse me? Do I know you? Are we friends? No.
Why do people do this?

They do it because some women are unwise enough to comply. But you can certainly refuse, ignore and/or block the person. Some women even have a message in their "about me" section ‘don’t ask for pictures’ etc.
