should i message this woman back, or just leave it now until she returns my message

i'm just downhearted now because i was messaging a woman on facebook for years, sending each other small affectionate messages...i thought it was going well...and thought it could lead to something.. a relationship maybe.....but my last message to her has not been replied too, and its been about a week now?
she recently like some of the pictures i posted to my timeline though, but not got back to me in a private message...she is in her 50s and im in my mid 40s...i feel down because i really started to like this woman...and like i mentioned, i thought it would lead somewhere..
so i'm wondering what my next move should be? should i keep cool and just wait patiently and see if she gets back to me? i don't want to message her again because i don't want to appear 'desperate' and clingy or needy.
