When my nephew was 14, he was on the Internet (Facebook, naturally) asking for WOMEN. Not GIRLS. He was claiming to be 21. Someone (his cousin) found this out and put the word out. As one girl said, "You're 18 and you want to go out with a 14-year-old? That's BABYSITTING!"
You don't find girls or girfriends on the Internet, friend. Go to places where people your age hang out and mingle, or ask other friends if they know a girl who'd like to "double" or be a "blind" date.
Do you p/t work? My nephew is now 19 and he found his current girlfriend at his job. She is a little older than he is (22) but that is better than 14 and an 18-21 year old stranger you hook up with.
Take my advice. Look for someone closer to your age. And P.S., I am not interested. I am past 60.

Race is not an "excuse" for not going where people your age can be found. You don't have to stay in your neighborhood if it's that dangerous. There are safety "zones" all over. I live and formerly worked in a decent neighborhood with very little if any crime, but I know that doesn't mean everyone does. I lucked out when I moved into this apartment, just about a block from my childhood home (I didn't have to look, the man who bought my house told me about this one).
As you seeking someone "older" than you, well, you don't say how much "older". But I still say the Internet is NOT a place to find a "mate" or "date". Too many people that I know have gotten burned by going this route.
