What's the thing with Kik. I've used it, and other than video chat, it's not much different than any other messaging app, including SW?

@Montanaman Well it keeps my online contacts separate to my actual friends, and unlike here you get notifications if you're not on the app. Here i have to have the browser open and be on this page to know if i get a message.

@Montanaman With the greatest of respect, i dont want people i meet online invading my actual life, so Kik keeps them at arms length yet still close enough to chat as and when you want.

@MaryJo1996 You can actually get this to act like an app. there's instructions somewhere but essentially on the notifications page allow push notifications and enable sound and it'll work. You have to from the browser add SW to your home screen then it has a widgit that just fires your browser up with SW loaded.
