When people use letters from other languages in order to seem interesting [I Use Instagram]

It took me a while to read "Free wild mind, dreadgirl, vegan". Still can't make up how нΩυyΩυχ is pronounced, but it's probably her last name.

Good god. That's even worse than all the Germans having their Bios entirely in random English quotes that they don't understand.
GERMAN IS WAY BETTER THAN ENGLISH! WHY DEY DO DIS TO ME
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GermanAf it's easier to copy paste something than to write such long German words I imagine 🤔
GermanAf · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut DEUTSCHE WÖRTER SIND NICHT LANG!!!
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GermanAf oh really? "nährwertdeklaration" 🤔
GermanAf · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut We usually use "Nährwertkennzeichnung" and it's not that much longer than "Nutrition facts label"!
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GermanAf yeah but it's ONE word like why can't this language calm down a bit
GermanAf · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut We just combine words. It's actually two words "Nährwert" and "Kennzeichnung". But making it one word is undoubtedly more space efficient.
One of the longest words I know "Donaudampfschiffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft" is actually just a bunch of words stuffed together FOR EFFICIENCY
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GermanAf how is that efficient if it hurts your eyes, don't you have enough space on your pages in Germany?? What went wrong?
GermanAf · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut Germans don't feel pain so this really isn't a concern for us.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GermanAf ugh there goes my plan of torturing someone from Germany now
GermanAf · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut 🥺 I'm 1/16th Polish
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@HannibalAteMeOut My God, would you hate Nahuatl. Read this doozy of a tongue twister:

Nochi tlacameh ihuan cihuameh quipiah manoh cualli tlacaticeh, nochi zan ze totlatechpohuiltiliz ihuan titlatepanitalohqueh, yeca monequi cualli ma timohuicacah, ma timoicnelicah, ma timotlazohtlacah ihuan ma timotlepanitacah.

Translated:

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

All suffixes and prefixes are strung together with it. Like chocolate is "xocolatl", my chocolate is "noxocolatl" and my cholates is "noxocolatmeh".
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GermanAf you're not making it easier, that language is also complicated 😬
GermanAf · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut I wouldn't know I don't know a single word 🥰
But at least you can torture 1/16th of me!
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@basilfawlty89 you ever notice how some languages are obsessed with certain letters? This one is all for h and the tl combination.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GermanAf that's encouraging 😌 1/16th of you must go get some painkillers
GermanAf · 26-30, M
@HannibalAteMeOut What if 1/16th of me likes pain 😳
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GermanAf good you won't waste money 😌
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@HannibalAteMeOut yeah, the tl combination is quite common. It's typically how words end - if their root word ends with a vowel, it will end with tl. For example woman is cihuatl, the root is cihua, the plural is cihuatin. People get -in as their plural and animals and objects get -meh. So Axolotl - root word Axolo, ends with tl, plural is Axolotmeh.
