@DeWayfarer it sure does happen if they are not linked. I don’t have mine linked and people I block on my main I cannot see on my other account I use for reporting underage accounts I can’t see on this one.

I didn’t mention it because that’s not the case. I know many others who don’t have theirs linked and this is how it’s worked for them.

Why would admin only limit it to linked accounts? How stupid would that be? They are trying to stop harassment. If that were the case everyone could just unlink their accounts and the harassment could continue.

There's simply no way for the site to tell. Unless you use the same email address that is, which is even dumber.

What you are saying is impossible even on cell phones at times. The IP address changes several times a day.

Linked accounts was designed because of that!

Most people have VPN even if it's a free version.

That's doesn't say that they can detect separate VPN addresses. Just that they can detect VPN. VPN address are random.

As to the first screenshot. I suspect that is proxies. Yet again that can vary.

Thirdly... You might have noticed the site is putting up fact checks about SW in particularly.

Just because it's "improved" doesn't mean it's fool proof!

Technology changes on both ends. For the good or the perspectively worse.

I say "perspectively" because privacy is a bigger issue on the advertising end!

Think it through. Congress is likely to make some new laws regarding the privacy of children! That means VPN for everyone!

@DeWayfarer Admin posted that first on on a thread so you saying that it doesn’t happen when accounts are not linked isn’t true.

Not everyone uses a VPN so for those who don’t use one and do not have their accounts linked are going to find themselves in the same boat as the users that do have them linked.

I am not worried about hackers and I don’t have anything to hide here so I don’t use a VPN.

Yet everyone IS switching to it. Heck you'll likely not even know because that will happen through service providers. They ARE "P"rivate "N"etworks without the "V"irtual part yet.

@DeWayfarer I don’t live in the US. My service provider doesn’t have a VPN built in. I just confirmed.

My accounts are not linked and when I block people here they are blocked on the other account. It’s happening to other people too.

I am not worried about it being fact checked because it’s what is happening 🤷🏼‍♀️

I guarantee that I can still see your reply though not reply on other comments of yours. Ask yourself why I can not only see it yet copy and paste your very own reply, if they can distinguish IP addresses!

I know this because I do often look at those that do block me.

Heck there's a whole post that I actually reply back to one such person that has blocked me!

I do it as a joke of sorts.

@DeWayfarer This isn’t about someone else seeing me. This is about who I can see. I blocked this person on my main and I can’t see him on my watch account.

Admin is trying to cut down on harassment.

I CAN counter back, and they won't see it! Everyone else will though.

@iamonfire696 private tabs on certain browsers allow it. Not all browsers have such privacy tabs.


Yet blocking does no good on those browsers that have it. Why? Because this site can't tell the IP address!

@iamonfire696 yes, but I can as well reply to them on a new comment. It doesn't matter which way whether it's my continued replies on my thread or a new comment. It can still see their whole reply and username to copy and paste the whole thing.

It's an ongoing post that has been going on for a couple of years.

If they have blocked you, you should be able to see it. I really don't block anyone, so I can't even test it out that way.

@DeWayfarer yah there’s someone that blocked me. I can’t see her on both accounts and I can only see it on the private browser if I am not logged in.

Once I log in I can’t see them anymore.
