what should you do when this happens on facebook

it's been years & years since i've had anything like this, i've set all my settings to private as best i can, i have 165 friends on facebook, most of them extended family and a few old classmates...but just before i got a surprise because i got a friends request from a facebook account with just 3 friends, the profile name was what appeared to be some Arabic name, but could be wrong....but don't think i am, and the profile picture was of a young toddler with a middle eastern appearance.

so thought, why is this stranger or whoever sending me a friends request for? and i felt a bit annoyed over it...but am i feeling annoyed about nothing and this could be a spam account? and no real person behind it..

spam or no spam i did resent and feel angry at getting this friends request as i thought i'd configured all my settings to private? so hows this happened i wonder....and what should i do??

Ignore it, block them, or if you are feeling like stirring the pot, report it as a fake profile. Probably nothing will happen, it never seems to with fb, but block it anyway.

@michaela2001 thankyou for your thoughts about it, i did end up blocking the profile but for a while felt uncertain what to do about it.
