how to get over this rejection all of a sudden

there's this woman in her 50s, i've been chatting to on and off over the years on facebook, she's been a friend on facebook for about 9 years now, she's single and divorced, our messages have just been short messages whenever i chatted with her.....i did start to fancy her, she's a natural redhead, so was hoping to develop something with her? and she was always decent enough, nice enough, to always reply to my private messages to her......but i last messaged her 2 weeks ago now, just asking how she was, telling her id not logged in facebook for a while and did she have a nice new year etc? i don't think i was too forward or over the top.....at the end of the message i left a smiley face, two kisses, as she left me two, i said hope to talk again soon, and left a ' snail' emoji?

i don't know why i left the snail emoji. but just did...anyway, this time, she hasn't replied to my message and i feel disappointed and rejected as i've been chatting with her, only briefly, but for years now?

so what do i do? i'm 48 years old just top add.
