Streisand effect, if they didn't want me to read it, they should have left it alone.

This is not a the Streisand effect. This is about a different overall business strategy.

Negative news is being censored solely because it's negative.

You can see this on this site. What happens when you report anyone? This site forces a block. And therefore you can't report them again.

It's the same principle.

No matter the right or wrong of this principle. This will never stop.

Why?

1. Because everything is going to AI. Even this site is going AI! You can see by the number of hidden comments.
2. Because a website is a business. They are not a government run subsidy. They have the right to do what they wish.

If it's AI, they will do it. And the negativity will stop on that site simply because AI is better at catching negativity.

I'm not for this. It's just the direction this going. It's why AI is being pushed by anything google (YouTube) or Facebook. You can add Microsoft to that list as well!

Government really needs to start subsidizng certain websites. At least they can ensure it is a public forum, allowing free speech rather than a business which can control the whole process.

If the forum refuses, then the subsidy can easily be stopped by the government.

That would make any such subsidized site a public forum, subject to free speech laws. There's even the possibility to not allow them to become a private busines, if the government has the controlling votes.

Then by logic of the Streisand Effect, wouldn't that mean Facebook wants to generate interest in Climate Change and Political Agendas? If that's the case, I wish Facebook would start censoring posts about psychology, mathematics, and science.
