People on the facebook marketplace are so sketchy

I specifically put at the bottom of the listing "cash only" and I already got like 3 messages from people asking me if I had cashapp or zelle. Either they can't read or they think they're gonna scam me somehow. I would never steal from someone though so and the one guy messaged me he's like yeah I can't do cash because me and my brother got robbed like that one time like wtf

I will never use Facebook market place again. I saw a seller ask for cash only for a car. And it was a neighboring state. My mother drove me there. They offered the car for 2,700 dollars. Well, after I gave them the cash, the car quit on me only five minutes down the road. I literally don't even think I was five minutes away before the car quit. They didn't want to give me my money back but thank god they eventually did. It was so fucked up. You could see the look of guilt all over their face. The thing that made it worse is that they knew we were driving from another state. They knew that I would end up stranded on the side of the road somewhere. And they didn't even care. That wasn't their concern. People are so shitty. I would never in a million years do some shit like that to someone. But I am spiritual, and I am actually concerned with ethics and morals. Many people are not. I tend to see the good in people no matter what. According to the seller, he was the dad of a married couple. The husband was his son, and his wife was selling the car because they had purchased a bigger vehicle for their growing family. They made it seem so innocent. Well, it wasn't innocent at all. Even when I got there, they lived in a nice neighborhood. They genuinely seemed like good people. But two things I noticed in hindsight, the car was already running when I got there. They said this was because they had charged the battery due to not using it for a while. . .And a few other things I don't even want to mention. I say all of this to say, fuck Facebook marketplace. I will never use it again. That was my one and only experience. I asked all of the car sellers if I could pay for a diagnostic test before purchasing the vehicle, and each of them stopped responding after that. People are so fucking shitty. Sorry, this is so long.

@Saucylover Yeah I would never do something like that to someone. I had a conversation over something like that with my co worker. He got sold a washer/dryer machine and it was broken and he only found out after he got home and plugged it in but then he ended up fixing it and it didn't cost him that much so yeah... But yeah anyways I'm selling an Xbox with a bunch of games and controllers and everything works good so I know what it's worth and I would never sell something to someone that doesn't work properly or it's broken. That's just some low life shit
