@SlippingAway it's what you look at, not what you post. They could care less about what you post. It's "who" is the others that are looking at your stuff they want.
And why certain things are banned. The majority don't want to look at certain things. They just are accommodating the majority.
If the majority wanted hate speech they would allow it. Sad, yet true.
Actually even this site is doing that with the feeds. Just this site doesn't acquire identities.
If better than 30% like certain posts they can reasonably say 30% would buy a related product.
Cat posts are big. So cat products might get advertised. Same goes with porn. Even more so than cats.
It's all about demographics which this site can tell with IP addresses.
Names themselves is a far more targeted approach. Wonder why you get spam texts, emails and phone calls? It's because of your name!
I hardly get any spam on all the above. Because they don't have my name.
If this practice wasn't done I would gladly have my real name for all to see.

You haven't been reported as a fake by trolls then and blocked out until you prove your not a fake.
Happened twice to me before I gave up. I simply won't give my real identity to some information collection agency.
That actually kind of proves that is what they are doing. Since no identity is given out to any other users. They don't even want you to give your own information to everyone.
Just you to them. So they can sell it to other companies.
